With grateful hearts, today we celebrate the children in our care—and the strength of the community that continues to surround them.
Every year, Authority Appraisals commits to a Christmas give-back project, a tradition rooted in our belief that business should always serve people. This year, our hearts led us to Field of Dreams, a place that has long been a source of shelter, guidance, and hope for little dreamers—children who have faced life without the presence of parents or a family to lean on.
Supporting these children isn’t just an act of giving—it’s a reflection of what community truly means.
17 Years of Resilience
For 17 years, this orphanage has stood strong. There were moments of uncertainty—when resources were scarce, and closure felt painfully close. But each time, the decision was the same:
Keep going.
Fight for the children who had no one else.
Children with no parents to return to, no relatives able to care for them, and nowhere else to call home.
A Place to Grow—and to Return To
Some of these children have grown into young adults here. And when they reached legal age, they were given a choice: to leave or to stay. Many chose to stay.
Not because they had to—but because it felt like home. It was where they felt safe, valued, and deeply loved. That may be this orphanage’s greatest achievement.
We’ve watched these young people graduate, start careers, and give back. Some manage restaurants. Others serve their communities as police officers, teachers, or professionals. What makes this even more powerful is that many of them return—not out of obligation, but out of gratitude.
Why This Day Mattered
The day we spent at Field of Dreams wasn’t just a celebration—it was a moment of joy, connection, and healing. For a time, laughter replaced worry. Joy replaced uncertainty. And love filled the space where hardship once lived.
The children gave back in the way only children can—through smiles, songs, and dances that overflowed with gratitude and resilience. Their joy made every effort worthwhile, reminding us that even small acts of kindness can create moments that last long after the day ends.
